One of the stories I’m developing for my podcast is called ‘The Damnation Girls’. I’ve got a lot of the story outlined, and I’ve got a pretty good handle on the characters. Today I finished an image of the main characters.
I just finished remixing/re-orchestrating a cartoon theme I wrote about 2 years ago. What I love most about it is the melody on the second half of the tune. I played it on my double bass, but very few people guess that’s what instrument they are hearing. Anyway, lots of fun.
It’s been a good week, I’ve gotten lots of work done…that always makes me feel as though I’ve accomplished something.
This is the ‘head’ (initial melody) for the last tune of my jazz record. The tune is called ‘Balance’….and it’s in 15/8…which means it’s really hard to play.
The tune is constantly imposing 5 beats per bar against 3 beats per bar…see if you can hear it.
