So the biggest issue I’ve found with drawing on the iPad is that it’s simply impossible to achieve real precision. I did this sketch after letting go of the hope that I could ever get precise line work out of the damn thing.
In fairness, I’m drawing with my finger. I hear that some have done better with one of the cheap stylus(es?…styli?) one can buy. As they lack pressure sensitivity I am unconvinced of their importance.

My experiments to learn the skill set of my favorite artists continue. This one is a direct attempt to emulate Dave McKean.
The assignment was to compile photos and treat them using techniques discussed in class to make them look as though they belong together.
I used it as an excuse to mess with my idea for combining the techniques of Alex Maleev and Dave McKean, but I wish I’d had time to take the photos myself.
Sorry it’s been a while since the last post…
Been busy. Trying to figure out if my current 5 year plan can possibly work.
Right now it feels like all I do is draw, and write.
Here’s something I did last week.
Upright Bass
I’m letting you know what’s up:
I’m in school (and man I’m feelin’ it).
Here’s a piece I just finished (though the pic is terrible, I’ll shoot it again when I have good light) for 3D design. Sort of a Post Minimalist thing.

And this is a quick pen and ink perspective drawing I did to beef up my portfolio.

And at the bottom of this post, I have another teaser track from the Spook Show CD (there’s some acting up front, the tune starts at 2:30), which is off to the presses as I write!
